Charitable Giving

Now that you've shopped till you've dropped, don't forget those in need.
justgive.org calls themselves the "destination for online giving." The site is directory to help you choose a charity to send a donation, divided by category, and includes links to the charities within the listings. Your gift can be sent to honor the memory of a loved one, in someone's name or anonymously.
So go. Give. And have a Merry Christmas!

Wine Sorbet

I've been busy wrapping up my holiday shopping so posting has been light here but I found this amazing sorbet made with wine(!) at my local gourmet shop. If you can find it near you, it would make a great hostess gift.

You can also order online at winecellarsorbets.com in 4, 6 or 12 packs.

Ribbon Candy

John and I were just talking about ribbon candy and how both our grandmothers kept some in covered candy dishes around the holidays. Given the chance, the pieces stuck together and became a giant mass of candy.

I never really liked ribbon candy but that didn't stop me from eating because hello? it was candy and just there for the taking. As long as you could lift the cover off the dish silently.
